TasteBuds - A Social Way to Decide What to Eat

TasteBuds is a playful food discovery app that helps groups and foodie matches decide what to eat—without the endless back-and-forth. I designed the experience to feel intuitive, social, and fun, using swipe mechanics, flavor-based profiles, and witty food-themed microcopy. Core features include group swipe rooms, foodie matching, a “Surprise Me” mode, and customizable dietary settings—all wrapped in a bright, bold UI. This case study showcases how UX, UI, and brand voice come together to solve one of the most common daily debates: what’s for dinner?
