This project focused on creating a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet that delivers the simplicity of Venmo while empowering users across Latin America who face inflation, limited access to banking, and high remittance fees. The core design challenge was to build a flexible system that works seamlessly for two very different audiences: • A first-time smartphone user in El Salvador • A Bitcoin-savvy developer operating Lightning nodes The solution had to remain lightweight, reliable, and performant on low-cost Android devices with inconsistent network conditions, ensuring financial access for users regardless of their technical background or hardware limitations.
